For NVARCHAR2 and VARCHAR2 maximum size is 4000 bytes, or 32767 bytes if the MAX_STRING_SIZE initialization parameter is set to EXTENDED. This is useful you have to allocate more data to a variable.
The RETURNING INTO clause allows us to return column values for rows affected by DML statements. The returned data could be a single column, multiple columns or expressions.
INSERT INTO t1 VALUES (t1_seq.nextval, 'FOUR')
RETURNING id INTO l_id;
